Maryetta has both the overall and runner-up winners for the Downey Phonebook art contest! Brooke Blackburn is the overall winner with the powwow dancer and Raesha Martinez is the runner-up with her owl. Congratulations to Brooke and Raesha!!

These students got up extra early this morning to receive their awards in OKC from the Drawing for Dollar$ art contest. Congratulations to Chasen Vann, Aaliyah Garcia, Nohaleigh Gonzales, & Tela Dry, you all did an amazing job!
First grade has been working on a butterfly project. We started with 12 ambitious little caterpillars, and today, we finished by releasing them as butterflies.

Due to the continued rainfall forecasted past 10 a.m., the Invitational Track Meet is canceled.
Today’s Invitational Elementary Track Meet will take place, but we won’t be starting until 10 a.m.
Don’t forget Thursday at 6:30 is Maryetta’s Bow ties and Tiaras Children Dance for 1st-5th Grade. You can pre-register for 20.00 or 30.00 at the door. It’s a great time for families to have fun. For more information pick up a flyer in the front office.

Mrs. Elms’ 2nd graders have been learning about Butterfly life cycles. We watched our caterpillars eat and grow and turn into a chrysalis. When we got to school this morning we found 2 butterflies! We are patiently waiting for the rest to emerge...
